With just two weeks to go until our Hopscotch Women's Conference, we are pleased to announce two more expert speakers to add to our schedule for the day!

Faye Rowe, Freelancer:

If you're a mum, you may well have come across Faye in her 'Baby Drool' guise, as a contributor to Sassy Mama or journalist at Aquarius Magazine here in the UAE, but that is just the tip of her iceberg!  Faye is an experienced journalist and editor who has worked on a roster of high profile publications and content campaigns directly for clients. Career highlights so far include being appointed one of the youngest ever editors of a monthly newsstand lifestyle magazine in Europe, writing three books on health and fitness and giving a lecture to the undergraduates on the MA Magazine Journalism course at Bournemouth University. While in the UK, Faye was shortlisted for a Consumer Journalist of the Year award and served on the committee of the Guild of Health Writers. In Dubai, she ran the editorial department for one of the leading publishers in the city before venturing back into freelancing.  It goes without saying she has a lot to say on women's issues and a great perspective on how to have a flourishing freelance career here in the UAE.

Raquel Luy Decena, Business Set Up Director, Creative Zone:

Raquel is a founding member of Creative Zone, a company that advises and supports businesses setting up here in the UAE, joining the firm at launch in 2010. She is responsible for all business development activities and finding new clients.  Raquel manages a team of more than fifteen business set up advisors across three separate companies.  She has been pivotal in the launch of several new companies under the flagship brand and is an expert in the area of business creation.  In her spare time, Raquel is a keen fashion blogger and a devoted mother of three boys including twins.  Her mantra is to live life to the fullest...and you can never have enough shoes.
