Many of you will remember Carys from our Workshop back in October due to her passion for talent development, talent management and women in the workplace initiatives. She is the Head of Talent for Mastercard in the Middle-East and North Africa and leads Mastercard’s efforts in the region across talent acquisition, talent management and talent development. Carys is also crucially responsible for female talent development globally for Mastercard. Originally from the UK, Carys has worked in a range of senior HR roles across her career in financial and professional services firms covering Europe and in the last 6 years with a focus on the Middle East & Africa markets. She has an MSc, Human Resource Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Employment Law.
Mona Tavassoli, CEO & Founder Mompreneurs ME:
Mona Tavassoli is The CEO and founder of Mompreneurs Middle East, a B2B platform that caters to female entrepreneurs in the Middle East and enables them to promote and grow their business. The organization believes in women's empowerment in the region through entrepreneurial education and mompreneurship. A mother of two, Mona is an entrepreneur and adventurer. She takes part in challenging experiences on a regular basis to extend her horizon. Skydiving, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, under the banner of "World Peace Through Women's Empowerment", and even fire walking. Mona’s research has taken her right across the globe, and she has studied under numerous experts and mentors. She has taken part in programs led by all the greats, including Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy, and has been presented with the Young Alumni Award by University of Wollongong in Dubai. Mona has completed the Vital Voices VVGrow program and she is a part of VV100 women leaders.
Anna Roberts, CEO & Founder, Nudge:
An international TV and radio presenter, speaker and moderator with over 10 years of experience, Anna has interviewed CEOs, government leaders and award-winning athletes. In 2015 she launched Nudge, a communications advisory focusing on public speaking and media training. With a focus on channeling her expertise to help career-oriented women, she also founded imannaroberts.com earlier this year to meet a growing gap in the market. Having read Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean in years earlier, she felt it didn't address the way women were being raised and educated differently to men and therefore were always a step behind their male counterparts when they finally got the seat at the boardroom table. She has spoken and contributed to leading events and publications in the region and has called Dubai home for the past 22 years, but is still a proud New Zealander!
