We know the drill - you move to a new country, want a change in roles or simply to get a foot back in the door of your career. You start with the best of intentions, sending off CV after CV and application after application and...nothing. We know from a candidate and a client perspective that finding the right fit is hard work and, as one firms put it, transferable skills and personality simply don't come across from a CV!
So that's why we created Talent Round Tables.
Months in the planning, it was the first event of its kind in the region and was designed to help top talent in finance, procurement, sales and marketing to meet with four of the most progressive businesses here in MENA - Mastercard, Growth Partners, Nestle and Zurich. In a format borrowed from the UK's 'speed dating' scene, 40 women were split into four groups and met with each HR Team across a morning at The Academy, Jumeirah Creekside. And loved it:
Yes, this event was fun and enabled networking and meetings of minds, but vitally we also opened up our talent pool to the teams there; meaning that each attendee had a better chance of being top of mind for any future roles available. For many of the HR teams this was an excellent way to pipeline and find new talent for their organisations, and assess each person on an individual, rather than 'on paper', basis:
